Ohio Pediatric Psychiatry Access Line (OPPAL)
Now Providing Consultations and Accepting Primary Care Provider Enrollment!
A new statewide resource is now available to strengthen pediatric behavioral health care in Ohio. The Ohio Pediatric Psychiatry Access Line (OPPAL) provides primary care providers (PCPs) with free, same-day access to peer-to-peer consultations with child psychiatrists – supporting timely, expert guidance for children and adolescents with behavioral health needs.
Features and Benefits for Ohio PCPs
- Free phone consultations with pediatric behavioral health experts.
- No cost to participate – available to providers in solo, group, or hospital-affiliated practices.
- Statewide access connecting PCPs to behavioral health resources across Ohio.
- Flexible scheduling: call back within 30 minutes or at a preferred time.
- Common topics: anxiety, depression, ADHD, and medication management.
